Holistic Healer
Approach to Health
At Finer Point Acupuncture I believe in a wholistic approach to treating my patients. This involves not only treating the signs and symptoms, but getting down to the cause of the issue/issues that happened in the first place. It is not only good enough to treat a patient, I will always give you the education and tools you need to keep up the aftercare while you are between treatments.

All treatments are evidence-based best practice with continued training and studying of the latest techniques.

How It Works
1.
Book Initial Consultation first
You will first fill out some important health history & consent forms prior to your appointment. Please be honest the more accurate information you give the better your treatment outcome will be. Your practitioner will ask you important questions around your health and general wellbeing, hormonal (female), and emotional health. Some questions maybe a little strange and seem irrelevant, but they are important for correct diagnosis. Chinese Medicine involves looking at the body as a whole so every aspect of the body is taken into account.
2.
Assessment
The practitioner will do a series of assessments (palpation, observation) which include looking at your tongue, feeling the pulse and palpation of different extremities of the body for changes in temperature and swelling.
3.
Treatment
Practitioner will pull all the information together for a Chinese Medicine diagnosis. Sterile acupuncture needles or other techniques will be performed on selected meridian points/ashi areas. Treatment will be from 20-30minutes (different for every appointment). During the treatment phase rest and relax and let your body do the healing.
4.
Treatment Plan
When your treatment is done your practitioner will guide you through an appropriate treatment plan. This includes how many treatments, frequency, and herbal formulas if required. Lifestyle (including dietary) advice/changes will also be given to help speed up your recovery.
